MegaDiet MegaDiet is a complete tortoise food. No vitamins, minerals, or vegetables need to be added.It’s easy and worry-free! The 1½ lb bag costing $8.50 lasts a large tortoise about one month. You can buy MegaDiet from Tortoise Group online or from Satellite Sellers in the Las Vegas area. We introduce MegaDiet by softening it for 15 or 20 minutes with an equal amount of water. If you have a tortoise that is larger than 3 ½ inches in shell length, also set out a small dish of dry pellets. Some tortoises need a little time and coaxing to accept MegaDiet. You know how stubborn they can be! Have patience and don’t give up if your tortoise refuses MegaDiet at first.Please remember that it is very difficult to provide a complete diet using a vegetable salad as a base unless you know the nutrients to add in the correct amounts (vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and sufficient protein, and fiber).
