The weather was very overcast and the colors do not appear as vivid here as they did in person. This enormous desert habitat is home to two Tortoise with two burrows placed naturally among the burrs.
Cosmo's entry on the tour map noted that "A tortoise will be investigating its new home". The place was "hopping" when I arrived and Cosmo was conducting an inspection as advertised.
Tad
Tad's burrow is a great example of creating an inviting landscape in a smaller yard. Tad is also an amazing subject as you will see.
